His Holiness the Dalai Lama is now on Instagram.

Tibet's spiritual leader joined the popular image-sharing site on February 1, 2014, and has already racked up over 15,000 followers.

His bio says, "Welcome to the official Instagram Account of the Office of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama."

The account shares images mainly of his travel and outreach work, as well as his meetings with people of note like President Barack Obama and news icon Larry King.

The Dalai Lama isn't new to social media, maintaining a strong presence on Twitter and sending updates to 8.5 million followers.

Other spiritual leaders on Instagram include Pope Francis, who mainly shares images from the Vatican on his account.

Instagram was acquired by Facebook in 2012.
