Jacintha Saldanha, la enfermera que fue víctima de la broma del DJ Mel Greig de la radio 2Day FM que se hizo pasar por la reina Isabel II y creyéndolo dio a conocer detalles sobre la condición de embarazo de Kate Middleton, se suicidó según reportan varios medios, entre ellos Hollywood Life.
El cuerpo de Jacintha Saldanha fue encontrado esta mañana, como a las 9:30 AM hora de Londres en donde residía junto a su esposo y sus dos hijos, cerca del hospital. Y aunque reportan que la asistencia médica llegó rápidamente, la dieron por muerta al instante.
El DJ de la radio 2Day FM hizo un llamado al hospital haciéndose pasar por la reina Isabel II y pidió por la habitación de Kate Middleton del hospital King Edward VII donde se encontraba internada por cuidados en su embarazo. La enfermera cayó en la broma y le dio información sobre Kate.
Una mujer que imitó la voz de la monarca preguntó por el estado de salud de Kate, y la enfermera le respondió que "no ha tenido arcadas y ha estado durmiendo de a ratos"... "En este momento está dormida y ha tenido una noche tranquila. Ha recibido fluidos. Está estable por el momento", responde amablemente la enfermera a la supuesta reina y al príncipe Carlos en una grabación de la conversación publicada por la estación radial.
Se ha abierto una investigación para esclarecer el caso del suicidio, al mismo tiempo que la ciudadanía ha comenzado a repudiar el acto de la emisora a través de las redes sociales.
