A lone seagull on the sky of New York City. Seagulls are one of the few signs that NYC is a port town, bordered by water from all sides. NYC residents spent a lot of their time indoors or underground traveling in subways so it is easy to forget that the city is a busy maritime port. We almost never see or hear the cargo ships or the passenger cruise liners approaching the port. The seagulls are there as a reminder for me.
