UPDATE: Kevin Arnovitz of ESPN reported on Monday that LeBron James admitted to calling a reporter's question "retarded" during the postgame press conference after Miami's Game 3 loss to Boston.

"I didn't understand the question," James said. "It is definitely blown out of proportion. I don't think Dwyane is a dirty player. It's the same as.. I don't think that is a great question. I think that's a stupid question. I don't know why someone would even ask that question."

EARLIER:

After Friday night's Game 3 loss to the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade was asked a question about Rajon Rondo's injury during the postgame press conference. Wade seemed confused by the question and LeBron James, covering his mouth, sounded as if he muttered under his breath, "That's retarded."

In the third quarter of Game 3, Rondo dislocated his elbow after getting tangled up with Wade and landing awkwardly on his arm.
