Lion Creates Unique Video By Carrying Camera In Its Mouth (VIDEO)

Camera theft is wrong, but we'll forgive the thief in this case: a lioness in South Africa's Tswalu Kalahari Game Reserve carried off a camera that had been left to capture ambient footage and unwittingly created her own little piece of cinema vérité. Photographers Roger and Pat de la Harpe had set up cameras on a fence in the game reserve, hoping to get footage for their book In Search of the African Lion.

When the couple got their camera back, they found that the feline Fellini had documented a slice of her day: she approaches the camera with other lionesses, investigates her discovery, and holds it in her teeth as she travels across the plain. Watch the unique footage below:
