Megyn Kelly: Sandra Fluke 'Would Have Us Believe She Is A Victim' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Megyn Kelly Tears Into Sandra Fluke
|

Fox News' Megyn Kelly made clear her distaste for Sandra Fluke on Thursday's "O'Reilly Factor."

Fluke has gained fame for her advocacy of insurance coverage of contraception, as well as Rush Limbaugh's subsequent attacks on her. Many Fox News hosts, such as O'Reilly and Eric Bolling, have cast her as part of a larger political effort by the White House to distract attention from the economy.

Kelly did not quite echo those attacks. Instead, she targeted Fluke as an essentially privileged person who was acting like a "victim," even though she was about to enter into an incredibly lucrative profession.

"We both went to law school," she said. "I also didn't have a lot of money to pay, but we have very, very different attitudes about what it meant to be in law school."

Kelly said that she had no health insurance at all when she was in school, and did not expect anybody to help her. "Never once did I think of myself as a victim who needed somebody else to step in and pay for those things for me," she said. She then brought up her own sister, who she said is a single, unemployed mother of three.

"She doesn't want to see our congresspeople wasting time talking about her contraception coverage of a Georgetown law school student!" she said.

O'Reilly said that Fluke had "allowed herself to be run by very, very high forces," adding that his show had "traced it back to the White House, almost," since former Obama aide Anita Dunn is helping Fluke.

Kelly said that the Fluke saga could also turn people off of Obama's health care law. "This is now undermined, because people think, 'I don't want that law because that law is paying for Sandra Fluke's birth control!'" she said.
