Paul Pierce Clotheslined George Hill To Get Ejected From His First Scoreless Game Since 1999 (VIDEO)

Paul Pierce's scoreless, ejection-shortened night in Brooklyn may not have been Willie Mays stumbling in the outfield in Queens bad but it certainly won't be one he'll remember fondly after hanging up his high tops.

The 36-year-old longtime Boston Celtics star in his first season in Brooklyn missed all seven shots he took as the Nets were rolled 103-86 by the visiting Indiana Pacers on Monday. This was the first time that he was held scoreless since 1999, per STATS. Although he couldn't find the net, Pierce didn't miss Pacers point guard George Hill when he delivered a clothesline tackle that earned him a flagrant-2 intentional foul and an immediate ejection in the third quarter.

The only other time that Pierce was held without a point came on March 9, 1999. That was just the 16th game of his rookie season.

UPDATE: Pierce was fined $15,000 for the foul.
