It looks like Jennifer Lopez has a bona fide TV hit on her hands. The ABC Family Fosters series she produces just got a major boost from the network, with several episodes greenlit for later this year.
As you may recall, The Fosters focuses on a multicultural family dealing with a variety of modern-day issues. One of those issues concerns the parents…which happen to be two women.
Clearly audiences have embraced the concept, helping The Fosters become one of ABC Family’s most popular new shows. Network president Michael Riley accentuated that fact when speaking to the press this week.
“ABC Family has always been a home for groundbreaking storytelling with iconic characters and families and we’re thrilled to have The Fosters join our line-up as a breakout summer hit,” he said.
Not only is that good news for JLo, it’s good news for Tr3s faves Cierra Ramirez and Jake T. Austin, who both have leading roles on the show.
