Rio's iconic Christ the Redeemer statue towers about 130 feet over the city, which makes doing repairs or cleaning work a dizzying task.

This worker rappelling down a line from Christ's outstretched palm seems remarkably unfazed by his dangerous job, however, though his life is literally in Jesus' hand.

The statue underwent repairs after being struck by lightning in January, chipping a middle finger.
