NEW YORK - AUGUST 16: In July 1965, Cosmopolitan turned from an antiquated general-interest magazine into the most talked about women's magazine in the country with this hot cover. Helen Gurley Brown, who was Cosmo's Editor-in-Chief until 1997, changed the magazine world forever by giving women advice on how to have the life they really wanted and publishing articles on provocative subjects.
