President Bush, on his eighth trip to the stricken Gulf Coast states, is shown here literally "rolling up his sleeves" as he prepares to see first-hand the state of Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts. The White House said that in the event that anyone in America was stupid enough to miss the president's clumsy and obvious attempt at appearing involved and on-the-job, they would make additional photos available showing the president literally burning the midnight oil, giving one-hundred-and-ten percent, working his fingers to the bone, putting his nose to the grindstone, using a smile as his umbrella and making lemonade out of lemons. No word, however, on whether there was enough Lysol in the world to hide the stench of desperation currently emanating from the White House.
