Young Mormon Missionaries Rescue Baby Ducklings From New Zealand Storm Drain

These Mormon missionaries are bringing a whole new meaning to "tending the flock."

According to video uploaded by Youtuber dbyankee27, while working in New Zealand, he and a fellow missionary stumbled across a duck quacking in distress over a storm drain. Her ducklings had fallen through the slats!

The pair then found themselves on a very different sort of mission -- a pint-sized rescue mission. While one filmed, the other pulled the little ducks one by one from the drain. Upon being freed, the ducklings immediately ran toward their mother, chirping their appreciation (though, as you can see in the video, several of them would still need one small boost from the missionaries).

Although the video was uploaded in 2010, it's recently been trending thanks in part to a feature on the blog Viral Viral Videos.

We're just really glad the little guys made it out okay.
