The biggest night in Gospel music is set to take place this Saturday (Jan. 18) as the 29th Annual Stellar Music Awards descend upon Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium.

Hosted by comedy legend Rickey Smiley and “The View” host, Sherri Shepherd, the star-studded event promises to deliver captivating performances from Gospel’s elite including Mary Mary's Erica Campbell, Shirley Caesar, Donald Lawrence, and Hezekiah Walker to name a few.

And as expected, Smiley intends to showcase his comedic talents as the event’s host. "I'm honored to have been selected to yield my comedic talents and performance skills as host for the 29th Annual Stellar awards, a show that honors and celebrates the Gospel and Christian community of artist and a body of music I deeply respect and was shaped by as a young child,” the entertainment mogul said in a statement.

“I look forward to sharing the wildly popular church characters like ‘Bernice Jenkins’ that have helped build my global fan base and have been a large part of my nationally sold out comedy tours"

The 29th Annual Stellar Awards will air live at 7pm EST on the UP Television Network. Check out this year’s pre-show and rehearsals via the event’s Live Stream channel.
