You'll never go in the water again!

A dad and his daughter got unexpected company while testing out a new GoPro action camera off the New Zealand coast.

Michael Homer was filming his child Gina swimming at Papamoa Beach, in the North Island's Bay of Plenty, when a shark suddenly joined them.

Terrifying footage posted online shows the sea beast's fin quickly emerging from the water just feet away. It circles back towards the duo but then swims off. It's not clear what kind of shark it is.

Not wanting to wait for its possible return, the pair make a quick run towards the shore, before the clip cuts out.
