Animal Shelter's Version Of 'The Bachelor' Is Way Better Than The Real Thing

There's fierce competition for the affection of Stewart the dog.

Whether you love or hate “The Bachelor,” you have to admit — wouldn’t it probably be better with dogs?

The people over at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society in New Mexico make a strong case that the answer is yes. In celebration of Valentine’s Day, they produced a short parody video that explores what the ABC dating reality show would be like if it were about pet adoption, not nabbing a husband.

The women in the shelter’s version vie for the attention of Stewart, a sweet brown and white dog who appears to enjoy hiking and licking faces.

There’s definitely a lot of drama, as one contestant confesses that she’s “totally falling for Stewart,” while a rival tries to disparage her as a secret “cat person.”

We’re sure no matter who Stewart picks, they’ll be very happy together.
