Full time pitcher and part-time rapper Trevor Bauer has released his latest single. While the 22-year-old righty has been optioned to Triple-A Columbus, the track has been praised by his teammates back in the big leagues.
Bauer recently wrote and recorded the song "Gutter To The Grail" for the Indians fan blog Wahoo's On First. The rap, which features shoutouts to Carlos Santana and Michael Bourn among others, will be used for the website's podcast.
Indians players seemed pleased with Bauer's song, and clubhouse slugger Mark Reynolds has even decided to use it as his walk-up music, according to The Plain Dealer.
"There's enough negativity in this world. This is something positive. I love it," said reliever Joe Smith. "But don't think he's not going to hear about it when he gets back up here."
Bauer has appeared in just three games with the Indians and has posted a 2.76 ERA in the majors this season.
