TMZ recently surfaced a few photos of Anthony Bourdain tanning in the buff, and though we can't say we're surprised -- after all, the guy did pose wearing nothing but an (actual) bone for My Last Supper in 2007 -- it got us thinking about where to go for birthday suit romps of our own.

Herewith, six beaches where ditching the Speedo is de rigueur.

Six Clothing-Optional Beaches
Gunnison Beach, New Jersey(01 of06)

Tony could have spared himself this whole debacle if he had gone to New Jersey's Gunnison Beach. The Atlantic Coast's largest clothing-optional strip of sand forbids unsolicited photography but permits bare bods and booze. (credit:Flickr:Sister72)
La Jenny, France(02 of06)

After you've tried naked sunbathing, move on to a more advanced exhibitionist outing. La Jenny, a nudist resort on the Atlantic Coast of France, claims one of Europe's only clothing-optional golf courses. (credit:Flickr:kewfriend)
Orient Beach, St. Martin(03 of06)

The sand in front of Club Orient officially marks the nude section of this famous Caribbean beach, but the freewheeling attitude means the policy is loosely enforced. Even so, guests wander at their own risk: Getting caught could lead to detainment by the gendarmes. (credit:Flickr:D'Arcy Norman)
Plage de Tahiti, St. Tropez(04 of06)

First made famous by Brigitte Bardot in the '50s, this strip on the northern end of St. Tropez's Pampelonne beach is unofficially clothing-optional -- and officially still crawling with celebs. (credit:Flickr:Polybiotique)
Wreck Beach, Vancouver(05 of06)

Wreck Beach constitutes one of the world's largest naturist beaches (and Canada's first) with 4.8 miles of coast. Travelers would be wise to grab clothes before venturing too far away from the shore, which borders a forest packed with prickly evergreens. (credit:Flickr:*_*)
Hedonism, Jamaica(06 of06)

Jamaica's all-inclusive Hedonism Resorts live up to their name with wild parties, wet T-shirt competitions, and split personalities--guests choose between the in-the-buff (nude) and covered-up (prude) sections of the resort, depending on how frisky they're feeling. (credit:Flickr:Dylan Ashe)
