Hooded Thieves Swarm San Francisco Apple Store, Swipe Gadgets

Hooded thieves stormed an Apple store twice in one week swiping thousands of dollars worth of gadgets.

Surveillance footage shows a group of unidentified people swarming inside the San Francisco Marina District outlet first on Nov. 25 and then again on Nov. 29. 

Each time, retail staff can only look on as the bandits rip the tethered products from the store’s benches and rush out of the store. The raids last no more than 20 seconds.

As the video below shows, three people hit up the store for the first mass theft:

Four people carried out an almost identical raid, just four days later:

San Francisco Police Department released the footage of both robberies, which they are classifying as commercial grand theft, on Dec. 2.

The footage went viral on Thursday, after a clip was posted to Reddit. The exact value of the stolen goods, which appear to be iPhones and iPads, is not known. It’s also not clear whether the same people were involved in both thefts. No arrests have yet been made.
