Brandon Douglas, Minor League Catcher, Gets Drilled At Home Plate By Runner (VIDEO)

WATCH: Catcher Takes Monster Hit At The Plate

Brandon Douglas of the Double-A Erie Seawolves (Tigers affiliate) looked more like a linebacker when he collided with Harrisburg catcher Brian Jeroloman during a game on Wednesday.

Douglas sprinted toward home plate on a soft ground ball hit to the second baseman, who immediately threw to it to Jeroloman. Douglas laid out Jeroloman, a Washington Nationals prospect, dislodging the ball from the glove and then crawled over to tag home plate for the run.

Both appeared to be shaken up after the play.
