I never heard such crap in my life.
From Tony Snow, you expect it.
But the mainstream media oughta know better.
Still, I've heard it over and over again the last two days: Joe Lieberman's loss in the Connecticut primary is bad for Democrats, because it shows the party is badly divided over the war.
I wish I could say it stronger, but - BULLCRAP!
Let me say it loud and clear: Ned Lamont's victory is the best thing that's ever happened to the Democratic Party.
It means the party finally woke up, after being asleep for the last five years, ever since September 11. Suddenly, there's life - and vigor - and excitement amont Democrats!
It means the party finally stands for something. It's no longer just Republican lite.
No longer part of business as usual.
Thanks to Ned Lamont, Democrats now, clearly, stand for change. And for a new direction. Especially in Iraq.
It doesn't mean the party is divided. It means the party is united, now more than ever. United against the bloody, costly war in Iraq. United against George Bush's lies. United in wanting to bring our troops home.
That's why Ned Lamont's victory is so great for Democrats.
Democrats stand for change. Republicans stand for the status quo.
The American people - are ready for change.
