El Dorado Building Home Renovation Shows Off A Fabulous Collection Of Art And Textiles (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Inside A Stunning Home In A NYC Landmark
|

The El Dorado building on Manhattan's Upper West Side may be a relic from the 1920s, but the stunning renovation of a home found inside this landmark is anything but old and stuffy. Completed by design/ build company Design Development NYC, this 2,400-square-foot apartment is bright, beautiful and comfortable with a modern aesthetic that nods to its historic roots.

Owned by the family behind Blithfield &Co., a London-based textile company, designer Alexander Doherty combined their own fabrics with the homeowners' collection of colorful art and furniture. Custom Farrow and Ball paint colors in soft shades and bleached floors make the treasures really pop. Details such as the home's moldings and doors were custom milled to maintain the Art Deco style of the space.
