Tigers vs. Tide. It has been hailed as the "Game of the Century," and it may very well rank among the best 1 vs. 2 matchups in the history of college football. At the very least, though, it should prove pivotal in the race for crowning the national champion of this season.
The top-ranked Tigers come into Tuscaloosa where Heisman candidate Trent Richardson and one of the most fearsome defenses in recent memory are waiting. By virtue of Richardson, that Nick Saban-coached defense and the raucous home-field environment, the Tide enter the game as the betting favorite as well as the pick of most media. One imagines that LSU coach Les Miles wouldn't have it any other way. After all, it's not often that the highest ranked team in the nation can play the "Nobody Believes In Us" card.
