Rockies first baseman Todd Helton fooled Matt Carpenter with the hidden ball trick on Thursday to retire the last out of the first inning against the Cardinals.
In the bottom of the ninth, Helton crushed a game-tying solo home run to help send the game into extra innings. The Rockies went on to win 7-6 in 15 innings.
