Craft Of The Day: Make These Adorable Mugs

Give Ceramic Mugs A Lovely New Look
|

Give plain old mugs, bowls, or even plates a fresh look using these fun fruit cut-outs or whatever designs you'd like with this Craft Of The Day. Thanks to this project from Young House Love the possibilities are endless (We particularly love these fruit pictures because they remind us of summer)! Use tired dinnerware that needs refreshing or buy inexpensive white ceramic pieces that are easily transformed with this project! Keep reading for the how-to.

What You'll Need:
Any ceramic mugs (or bowls, plates) you'd like!
Cut-out pictures (try a consignment shop or Goodwill for books)
Mod Podge (from your local craft store)
Scissors
Small paint brush

How to Make It:
1. After deciding on the pictures you'd like to use from a book of your choice, carefully cut them out with scissors.
2. Make sure the surface of the mug is clean and dry.
3. Using a small paint brush, coat each cut-out with a light amount of Mod Podge and stick them to the mug wherever desired. Once you've done that, you can add another coat to the decal to ensure a durable seal.
4. The Mod Podge is clear once dry, so just give the mug some time and enjoy!

*Note: These cups are not dishwasher safe. Hand wash to preserve the image.
