Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert didn't hesitate to take a shot at LeBron James after the Dallas Mavericks won their first NBA championship in franchise history on Sunday night.
"Old Lesson for all:There are NO SHORTCUTS. NONE," he posted on his Twitter account.
This isn't the first time that Gilbert has slammed his former employee.
Gilbert said that James was "narcissistic" and called his departure from Cleveland a "cowardly betrayal" in a letter to Cavs fans shortly after the two-time MVP announced his decision to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami.
Earlier in the season, Gilbert appeared to bash James on Twitter by ripping unnamed "A-Holes." He later denied that the tweet was directed at James.
LeBron finished with 21 points, four rebounds and six assists in Miami's Game 6 loss. James and Wade combined to score 62 total points in each fourth quarter of the NBA finals, while Finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki scored 62 points in the final period by himself.
Congrats to Mark C.&entire Mavs org. Mavs NEVER stopped & now entire franchise gets rings. Old Lesson for all:There are NO SHORTCUTS. NONE.
