It has been a rough 10-day stretch for Dallas Mavericks guard Delonte West. The team suspended him for a second time in less than two weeks on Thursday for conduct detrimental to the team. His first suspension of the preseason lasted only a day. This time, Mavericks President of Basketball Operations Donnie Nelson suspended West indefinitely.
Shortly after the Mavs suspended West, the 29-year-old took to Twitter to address the reports in the media, contending that "perception is not reality."
During this sequence of tweets, West, who has bipolar disorder, tweeted that he was not off his medication. He also tweets that he "didn't do anything to deserve that."
