Her husband may have famously called out a rapper -- the confrontational Sister Souljah -- to dramatize his New Democrat intolerance of Souljah's call for African-Americans to kill whites. But the 2008 presidential camp of Hillary Rodham Clinton has suffered an embarrassing setback thanks to its courtship of another rap artist, Timbaland, who hosted a fundraiser for the Democratic New York senator in March.

When word of the event reached the Family Research Council, the socially conservative Washington advocacy outfit affiliated with James Dobson and his Focus on the Family, the group quickly mobilized an online campaign accusing Clinton of hypocrisy and demanding that her campaign return the $800,000 it netted at the event.
