Throughout the presidential campaign, friends and colleagues of Mitt Romney have rejected the perception that the GOP frontrunner is overly staid, claiming Romney is fun and engaging in familiar company. But US Senator Scott Brown offered a different defense Monday night: Romney’s sober demeanor is a good thing.
“Sometimes you need somebody who’s just focused on the economy,” Brown said during an interview with Piers Morgan on CNN. “They don’t tell a lot of good jokes; they’re not trying to yuck it up. This is very serious times; we need serious people, and that’s why I’m supporting Governor Romney.”
