Colt McCoy was injured early in last night's BCS Championship Game against the Alabama Crimson Tide. The star quarterback, who won the prestigious Maxwell Award, was named an All-American and finished as a Heisman finalist, never returned to the game, which the Longhorns ultimately lost by a final score of 37-21.

After the loss, he was asked what it was like to watch his final game as a Longhorn from the sidelines. McCoy was unable to form words for several seconds before expressing his gratitude to football and his teammates, and congratulated Alabama on its victory. Scroll down for the moving video.
