Plenty of athletes and former NBA stars have voiced their opinions on LeBron James' decision to leave Cleveland for the Miami Heat. Hall of Famer Magic Johnson decided to add his two cents today.

Bloomberg News reported that Johnson said he never would have teamed up with Larry Bird in order to win an NBA championship.

"We didn't think about it cause that's not what we were about," said Johnson. "From college, I was trying to figure out how to beat Larry Bird."

Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley have also expressed their views, saying they wouldn't have joined their rivals.

"There's no way, with hindsight, I would've ever called up Larry [Bird], called up Magic [Johnson] and said, 'Hey, look, let's get together and play on one team,'" Jordan said. Barkley commented on LeBron, saying he was "disturbed" because he believes James' decision had been "planned all along."

James announced his decision on a one-hour special aired on ESPN. The highly criticized special has become a target for some comedians.
