Look what Michael Cole found.
Midway through the first quarter against Clemson, the Virginia Tech safety managed to intercept a pass while on his back. Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd's pass was intended for receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who was cutting across the middle of the field. But the ball was thrown high and it went off Hopkins' fingertips. The Hokies' freshman safety overran the play and slipped but was able to reach up from his backside and catch the tipped ball.
"Michael Cole laying flat on his back! Are you kidding?" yelled the announcer.
That may have been how Cole felt as well.
