POLL: Which Clemson Touchdown Catch Was More Impressive?
|

The theme song for the Clemson receiving corps should be "Anything You Can Do" because Sammy Watkins and Martavis Bryant seemed eager to outdo each other in the Orange Bowl. Both Tigers wide receivers made stunning touchdown catches as No. 12 Clemson rallied past No. 7 Ohio State for a 40-35 win.

Watkins and Bryant both caught their first touchdown passes of the game in the first half but the highlight competition really picked up in the third quarter as Clemson quickly turned a 29-20 deficit into a 34-29 lead. With 2:47 remaining in the third quarter, Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd lofted a deep pass toward Watkins in the end zone and the fun began.

After Watkins climbed the ladder to pull the Tigers within two points, Ohio State gave the ball right back. Following a Braxton Miller interception, Clemson's offense went back to work. This time, Boyd got the ball to Bryant, who tremendous concentration with a juggling touchdown grab.

With Watkins and Bryant even with two touchdowns apiece late in the fourth quarter, Clemson needed one last score to hand Urban Meyer's Buckeyes their second straight loss. Rather than turn to one of his primary targets, Boyd found tight end Stanton Seckinger wide open on a third-and-goal play from the 5-yard line. The catch may not have had the degree of difficulty of the others but it provided the winning margin.
