The Texas Rangers will look to close out the St. Louis Cardinals and seal their first ever World Series championship Thursday night with a Game 6 victory.

In a Game 2 rematch, Texas' Colby Lewis will take the mound while St. Louis will throw out southpaw Jaime Garcia. Lewis put on a solid performance in the second game in St. Louis, going 6.2 innings and only giving up one run while striking out four. Garcia, however, out-dueled Lewis by pitching seven scoreless innings and striking out seven. The Rangers were able to come back in the ninth inning and tie the series at one.

Unfortunately (and strangely) for the Cardinals, recent history is not on their side considering that the 2004 and 2006 World Series ended on October 27th in St. Louis (via MLB PR)

Will the Cardinals be able to fight off elimination and force Game 7? Or will the Rangers finally win their first World Series title in franchise history?
