We're not sure how we missed this (well, there's much less to miss now), but Dennis Hastert, the former Republican Speaker of the House, has dropped an astonishing amount of weight since resigning from Congress after the bruising 2006 midterm elections. Gone is the soft, doughy body we'd come to see standing solidly behind President Bush. In its place is a significantly trimmer Hastert, sans multiple chins, who's managed to lose the pounds the old-fashioned way: diet and exercise.
