Once again, relief pitcher Luis Ayala extended his limited role despite seeing less than two innings of play during the Orioles four-game series against Toronto. And yes, it just so happened to involve his hat.
Ayala made another highlight-worthy play on Wednesday when he caught a home run ball in his cap -- this time off the bat of Chris Davis -- while looking on in the bullpen at Camden Yards. He did the same thing in Monday's game.
Pedro Strop seemed know it was coming, as he pretended to use a fishing pool to reel it over the fence. Ayala, on the other hand, seemed nonchalant while making the grab. Of course, it may just be a routine play for the reliever at this point.
