Padres Ball Girl's Foul Ball Catch Saves Braves Bullpen (VIDEO)

Padres Ball Girl Saves Braves Bullpen

There are a handful of Major League ballparks with the bullpens located in foul territory instead of somewhere beyond the outfield wall. Petco Park in San Diego is one such park and the visiting Atlanta Braves learned the importance of being alert in such a setup on Monday night.

Padres second baseman Logan Forsythe laced a line drive down the first base line in the bottom of the fifth inning. The ball began to hook right and make its way toward the Braves' relievers. A handful of pitchers quickly got out of the way, but they they wouldn't need to as the Padres ball girl was there to make the catch.

After the fans gave the ball girl a round of applause, Braves' righty Chad Durbin went up to her and gave her a fist bump.
