Thankfully, Georgia Southern cornerback Valdon Cooper didn't look like he was in much pain when he suffered a gruesome in the first quarter against Georgia. But everyone who looked at his injury couldn't help but cringe.

Cooper had blanketed Bulldogs receiver Tavarres King and nearly made a diving interception of quarterback Aaron Murray's pass. When Cooper got back to his feet, he realized one of his fingers had been deformed. He shook his head as if he was angry at his finger for bending that way, and then started to run off the field calling for some assistance.

Perhaps it looked worse than it really felt?
