It was frustrating to ask questions of candidate Sarah Palin during the statewide public television debate for governor in November 2006.

Avoiding the question, she instead reminded voters of her populist campaign themes. She was an honest, ethical, conservative Republican who believed in the Alaska Permanent Fund, family values, and a moose for every hunter.
Avoiding the question, she simply avoided the question, calling it "hypothetical."
But aren't all questions hypothetical, in that they ask the person to accept certain conditions, certain facts, a certain set of circumstances and then give an opinion?
