A book for 5-to-8-year-old children with no pictures by a writer who's never written anything for children.

And it's rapidly climbing to the top of the children's bestseller list.

If you know of B.J. Novak, it's probably because you read the credits on The Office, a show that saw him shine in several identities: actor, writer, director, executive producer.

But you're not reading this to find your next book.

This one is for the kids in your life. (Okay, and for the big kid trapped inside you who has to read the book aloud -- the big kid who'd fall out laughing over The Book with No Pictures.)

If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth 10,000. Watch:

Skeptics may ask: Was that video edited?

Yes.

"They had to calm the kids down after I read the line 'Boo Boo Butt,'" Novak reports. "We had to cut like 60 seconds out of the tape, because they're going crazy. They're practically running around. They had to do a whole ritual of '1, 2, 3, shhh' to quiet them back down."

Caution: This could happen to your kid, grandkid, nephew, miscellaneous youth. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
