'Extremely Thin' Models Cause Concern At Sao Paulo Fashion Week

Creative Director of San Paulo Fashion Week Paulo Borges expressed concern over the "extremely thin" models on the country's catwalks, according to the AFP.

Brazil has age restrictions and mandatory health reports for anyone striking a pose, but Borges still thinks the runway girls look emaciated.

"This situation cannot be ignored. We would like to propose a joint effort towards minimizing this issue and preventing the effects of this trend on models, on our industry and on society itself," he wrote in a statement. There's no word yet on what measures will be taken.
