In this exclusive footage taped after Oprah's weekly Lifeclass webcast on October 21st, an audience member opens up about her struggle to find happiness after splitting with her husband of 17 years.

"How do I bring joy back into my life after divorce?" the woman asks. "I have a 6-year-old daughter and I'm trying to figure out how do I bring the joy back into my life when she's so angry also?"

Oprah and relationship expert Iyanla Vanzant, a former "Oprah Show" regular who co-hosts Friday's live Lifeclass webcasts, encouraged the woman to separate her daughter's pain from her own, and acknowledge her role in the relationship's demise.

"I want to encourage you to go somewhere -- a park, a river, the tub, a bed, wherever -- and tell the whole truth," Vanzant says. "Don't put this on your daughter; this is not even about her," she continues, before adding: "One of the major issues for women I find in the work that I do, is that we will gauge our eyes our with plastic spoons rather than say, 'oops, I picked the wrong one'... then we try to make him into what he think he's supposed to be. He's the wrong one. Get rid of him and change the lock quick."

Oprah's Lifeclass airs weeknights at 8/7c on OWN, with additional hour-long live webcasts Fridays at 9/8c. Thursday's Lifeclass will address what animals can teach us, and Friday's episode will discuss how we experience joy.
