We love when the Duchess of Cambridge goes to Starbucks, or when Princess Eugenie hits a Knicks game, or when Prince Harry acts like a frat boy and clowns around in Vegas.
But sometimes... we want our royals to be royal. Old-school, curtsying, tea-drinking, ribbon-cutting royalty, with crowns and robes and all the other things we always imagine royals should wear.
Which is why Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall's 2013 Christmas card is warming our hearts. The photo chosen by the couple is taken from the Royal Ascot, a classic British horse racing event that the royal family attends each year. The men wear top hats, the women don fascinators and all is right in the monarchy.
