The gem-box-sized downtown salon, which has only been open for about six weeks, was already buzzing when I arrived at four p.m. It wouldn't be long before Tinsley Mortimer, Claire Bernard, Genevieve Jones, Fabiola Beracasa, Meredith Melling Burke, and Alexis Bryan Morgan, among other "It" girls, arrived. Ric Pipino, the salon's owner and marquee hairstylist, was finishing up with a client, so I got a tour of the space before my own transformation began.
