Boyfriend Jeans That Won't Break The Bank (PHOTOS)

10 Pairs Of Boyfriend Jeans For Under $100
|

Boyfriend jeans entered the national vernacular when they were photographed in 2008 hanging off the hips of Katie Holmes. It confused the country, which had only just become accustomed to the thong-baring, low-rise jeans that Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera had been wearing. Denim line Current/Elliott was responsible for that look, and now they were getting really famous for swinging the pendulum in this new, baggy direction. And the rest history: boyfriend jeans have a permanent place in fashion history.

Now they're making a comeback. Spring is upon us and the skinny-jeans-tucked-into-boots look feels tired. One look at J.Crew President Jenna Lyons tells me the borrowed-from-the-boys style is still cool, especially when paired with ladylike accessories like heels and a frame bag. Personally, we love the thought of rolling them up and wearing them with flat leather sandals -- what could be more comfortable than that?

Herewith, 10 pairs of boyfriend jeans under $100. Tell us, do you think the look is flattering? Absurd? Would you wear them?
