On Tuesday New York Republican Jim Tedisco unveiled a TV ad showcasing his campaign's positive new direction, suggesting he's on the president's team.
"Like the president says, in these difficult times, we're not Republicans or Democrats," Tedisco said in the ad. "We're Americans, and that's the team I'm on."
Tedisco's opponent, Democrat Scott Murphy, released an ad today that decidedly rejects the same-team message, hammering Tedisco for coming out against the president's stimulus package this week. Tedisco had been getting beaten up for dithering on whether he supported the economicy recovery package.
The March 31 special election will fill the seat vacated by now-senator Kirsten Gillibrand.
