Of Course Feminist Rockstar Elizabeth Warren Proposed To Her Husband

And of course he said yes.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) celebrated her 35th wedding anniversary this week, and in a Facebook post about the occasion, she revealed she was the one to pop the question.

"I was a single mom with two little kids, and I’d just started teaching law in Houston," Warren wrote in a Facebook post July 12. "And then I met a guy from Massachusetts named Bruce. I was completely crazy about him, and I still am. When I proposed to him, he said yes."

Warren praised her husband in the post, saying he's "never once discouraged me from taking on a fight."

In her latest fight, Warren is pushing the federal government to research the benefits of medical marijuana. Warren and seven other senators sent a letter last week to look at programs already available in states with active medical marijuana programs, urging the government to "pick up those tools and use them."
