First, let me make this; I'm not perfect! I make mistakes! I have flaws! I have weaknesses! What I speak is from my heart and my experiences.

Do you see yourself in any of the above statements? I just want to make sure I'm not speaking or writing to perfect people. Or am I?

"We are fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14). It's time for us to accept the cracks in our personality, not as imperfections, but as perfections. God don't make junk! If that is the case and I am fearfully and wonderfully made, that must mean my flaws and weaknesses didn't just happen. I was made that way on purpose. My flaws and weaknesses are there for a purpose.

What's the purpose? For God to show up and show out. God will take the mistakes and messes I've made and turn them into a message; a message for me. Within our mistakes and messes is a lesson to be learned. It's in the mistake and mess, where we learn about ourselves, where we grow and develop. It's takes a change in thinking, for us to see our mistakes and messes as character building. I will share something I learned, how I think about something will determine how I behave. If you think you are not worthy of good things due to mistakes you've made, you will act as if you are not worthy. I want to let you know, I have made and will continue to make mistakes, the difference is, now, when I make a mistake I look for the lesson in the mistake.

Maybe, instead of looking at messes, flaws, and weakness as mistakes...look at them as choices. Maybe this will help you be easier on yourself the next time you make a mistake or show your flaws, weaknesses. We all have choices to make in life. With choices come consequences.

I, we, you, are imperfectly perfect. We were made in the image and likeness of God. I've learned, instead of denying my flaws and weaknesses, to accept them as pieces of me. My flaws and weaknesses, together with my strengths, blend together to create this whole, wonderful, amazing, imperfect, perfect being you see. Guess what!? It's the same for you. You are the most beautiful picture of an imperfect-perfect being.

Now go and show the world the beauty in your cracks.

Here is my challenge to you:

Create possibilities for your life. Change your thinking. Choose to be positive and have a grateful attitude. We've all walked around with a negative attitude, and where did that get us?

Try something different. Try a positive attitude and see the chain reaction it can cause. Have an attitude that you are worthy of greatness. Have an attitude of vulnerability, authenticity, compassion, genuineness. Now apply these qualities to how you treat yourself and let it spill into how you interact with and treat others.

"You can't fall if you don't climb.
But there's no joy in living your whole life
on the ground"
