If you're looking to spruce up your home with a fresh coat of paint, chances are you've come across some pretty unusual names for colors when searching for the perfect shade. And when we've been browsing hues, we couldn't help but notice there are an awful lot named after animals, which we find a bit, well, strange. We can't remember the last time we've heard someone say they want their bedroom walls to be the same color pink as their dog's ear.
But if you're in the market for that exact shade, or perhaps you're more of a cat person and prefer a color similar to your kitten's whiskers, these are both available to you, along with a slew of others dubbed surprising things, at your local paint store.
