In a rare television interview to air tonight on Nightline, Giorgio Armani told me he "has a problem" with people who wear dark glasses during his fashion shows.

"It hides your emotions. What I work for, what my entire design team works three months for — the colors, the clothes, the textures, the lighting — is all shot to pieces when you wear dark glasses," he continued.

Vogue editor Anna Wintour is famous for wearing her sunglasses during fashion shows.

I asked if he had let the Vogue editor know his feelings. "No," he replied, "not in the most direct form but Anna is not the only journalist (who does this)."

She knows now.

Watch a preview clip below. The full interview — in which Armani also discusses his gamble opening an Armani store right now — airs tonight on ABC News' "Nightline" at 11:35 ET.
