After listening to the Democratic debate yesterday, I am getting a little tired of "same old same old." The only candidates who make sense have no chance of being elected. I am getting an overdose of pandering.

The Democratic leadership is unwilling to provide us with the necessary profiles in courage so we have to look elsewhere in my opinion for some independent thinking and competence. Someone who has not been institutionalized and brainwashed by the thinking in the "beltway." My only conclusion is that Bloomberg would probably be the best choice in the 2008 election.

Bloomberg has no financial dependence on any special interest group and he has done a great job of minimizing the panic associated with false terror alerts. He is extremely protective of the people of New York in that he immediately is available when there is an unfortunate accident that may look like a terrorist attack. He is very bright and a visionary. Despite the fact that he ran as a Republican, he really has a liberal background. And he is electable.

Bloomberg can bring together the disenfranchised voters of both parties and could win a plurality of votes in enough states to win the Electoral College. If the Democrats do not get their act together soon, I believe that Bloomberg would be a better choice than anyone in the DC crowd.
